A Kid's Haven

We ventured down to the farm today...
For a day full of fun.... Grandma and Papa Martineau (Nick's grandparents) put a lot of work into this place. It's so beautiful there and we all love it. It's about 1 1/2 hours south of Salt Lake nestled in a tiny little town called Oakcreek where the population doesn't exceed 100 people.
Cooper with the baby cows

riding a four wheeler with Papa (all the kids love Papa, he has kid-magnetism)

Petting and CATCHING the baby pigs

Power Wheels (nothing more to say here)

Setting up the shooting course.... and shooting

Mason Petting the yearlings and Sean and Cooper feeding them

the lost sheep - this little guy wandered onto their farm a few years ago and wouldn't leave. So they finally put him in with the horses, he's been around ever since... no one knows where he came from :)

Climbing in the hay barn

We were all riding in the truck and I looked in the rearview mirror and saw little Cooper just riding in the back of the truck like we was a pro that had been doing this his whole life. As he was bumping up and down and watching the scenery pass by I couldn't help but wonder what was wafting in his almost-5 year old mind.

We rode up to the upper fields and looked at the new pivots. If you look closely to your left, you'll see some visitors grazing in the alfalfa.

At the upper pond...

Antlers from their elk ranch.... yearly they have to cut the antlers off of their bull elk so they don't kill eachother. Here are a few racks that were sitting outside the house.
