A Day on the Bay

My brother Dan took us out in his fishing boat. We had so much fun! I seriously love fishing, even though we didn't catch anything. Just the anticipation was worth the trip. But, besides trolling for Halibut, we ventured over to the military base and drove as close to the USS Hornet as we could before getting shoed away. Then we went over to San Francisco and cruised around Alcatraz and the bay. Nick, Cooper, Dan, Seth and Myself went on the voyage.
At the USS Hornet....

Alcatraz....

The Golden Gate Bridge
Nick feeding Seagulls off the back of the boat...
And dinner with all the boys at Dan's house while we watched the Jazz lose to the Spurs :( Oh well at least we got to see it in HD, right? Food provided by "Orient Express," Tam's restaurant.

BBQ with family

I had the opportunity to see my mom's family. It was a fun time being around all the people I grew up with but dont really get to see very often. Here is one attempted picture with all the greatgrandkids.... look at all those boys!!!
My cousin David (the 6'8" one) showed up with his Police car and in uniform. The boys were in heaven and David even let them sit in his police car (well, it's not actually a car because David doesn't fit in a normal size car... so he has the special Tahoe).
"Hey mom, can I drive this home???"

This is a spit guard that they put on people they arrest so that they cant spit on the Policemen. The boys thought that was "pretty cool."

Me, my mom, and my grandma with the boys...

My hubby is back.... I missed him!

3 weeks without my husband. I didn't think it would be a big deal but it WAS!! Now that were together again, I cant seem to keep my eyes (or my hands) off him. He flew in to Oakland and we headed to the Oakland Temple.
Flowers.....
My face when he kisses me.... The view from the roof... on a foggy morning, I prefer the hot guy over the view ;)
Then we spent the rest of the day driving down the coast. We hit Watstonville for the Gizdich Ranch, then Monterey and Carmel.
Playing on the beach at Carmel-by-the-Sea....

Our hands....

Our feet....

It was fun to spend time just goofing off and being with eachother. We had such a great time!!!

Happly Hollow - the kids Wonderland

A park (can you call it that?), well actually it's a paradise for small ones.... not too fun for us big people. I suppose watching them smile, makes us smile, right? This place has a zoo, petting zoo, playgrounds everywhere, a few rides and a million other kids.

The Muir Cats and the baby pony....

Hangin' with Rach

I left the kids with my mom and headed north to Rachel's turf. I drove up late Friday night in the dark. I saw many deer and one mountain lion on the road.

Saturday morning we went on this nature hike with some locals. We learned about the medicinal values of the native plants. When my tail bone would take no more, we headed to Shelter Cove and ate some tasty fish and chips. We then headed to some ladies house that Rach is thinking of renting. We both took naps and kicked it in her hot tub. We walked along Blacks beach and then headed back to Garberville.

Sunday we went to church and just hung out. It was fun to hang with Rachel and see the BEAUTIFUL place where she lives. I thoroughly enjoyed my drive home. I tried to catch my drive home on camera, but these photos are horrid. But I figure, they will help me to remember my highly-enjoyable drive. I so much miss these verdant hills that plague the California Coast.

AAHHHHH the memories....

Just found this treasure on YouTube....

Sometimes I wish life could be as plain and simple as a love song.

"Kimi o ai shite ire"

Sliiiiiiii-IP Slip and Slide!!!!

Ahhhh the fun world of Slip and Slides. My mom made this makeshift slip and slide for the boys out of leftover roofing materials. Worked great! They had a blast.

And Mason's diaper got REALLY full!!!
